Monthly keyword cycle
Why some keywords disappear and others come back.
The keyword library has four states. Understanding them keeps your library clean.
| Status | Meaning | What happens next |
|---|---|---|
| discovered | Auto-pulled or manually added; never selected | Stays in the library, re-rankable next month |
| accepted | You ticked it (without generating yet) | Same as discovered for sorting; visual cue only |
| rejected | You rejected it | Hidden from default filter; available if filter = "rejected" |
| used | An article was generated from it | Never reappears in discovery. Period. |
Why "used" is sticky
Two reasons:
- You don't want to write the same article twice (Google will deduplicate or penalize).
- Discovery is a precious budget — re-suggesting yesterday's queries wastes it.
If you genuinely want to retry a keyword (different angle, or the original article failed), open the keyword detail and click Re-enable for batch. We'll set it back to discovered and you can re-include it.
Monthly billing cycle
- Auto-discovery quota resets on your billing cycle anniversary.
- Article quota resets on the same day.
- The keyword library itself doesn't reset — keywords persist forever (unless deleted).
You can run discovery as many times as you want until the monthly cap. Each run produces fresh rows; deduplication keeps duplicates out.
Are you running out of discovery?
Your 150 keyword/month budget on Starter is exactly enough for 30 articles. If you're consistently rejecting more than half, you're researching at Pro velocity (500 keywords/month). Upgrade is 30 seconds away.
500 keywords/month on Pro = enough discovery to never reject a candidate. Upgrade →
